ABB Energy Pod Podcast, episode 22
Today on ABB Energy Pod you can be the first to hear about ABB’s ‘Energy Transition Equation’ for the offshore oil and gas sector which launches this week. Johan de Villiers, Global Industry Manager Oil, Gas, Offshore Power at ABB, will explain how the offshore sector can become more sustainable, which is critical to the success of the energy transition.
We all know that we are currently facing a global energy security crisis, while at the same time trying to navigate the energy transition. So how can oil and gas play its part?
The report details how the move towards autonomous offshore operations can increase stability of energy supply and production, key to energy security. It reveals how 300,000 tons in carbon emissions can be saved by autonomous operations per annum per offshore site (approximately 25 percent reduction). This is the equivalent of removing 150,000 combustion cars from the road each year.
Tune in to find out more.
