In its 2023 World Energy Outlook, the International Energy Agency (IEA) describes the heavily urbanized region of Latin America and the Caribbean, of which Mexico is a part, as suffering from a “lost decade” of economic growth but states that “opportunities in the new energy economy could help to spur an economic rebound.”
Half of the countries in the region have pledged to achieve net-zero emissions by mid-century or sooner. In Mexico, ABB is helping partners to pursue those opportunities by offering innovative solutions for EV infrastructure, smart buildings and energy management.
