Monaco’s location at the south-eastern corner of France, makes it a neighbour of the second-largest European Union (EU) economy. France is one of many EU countries making a transition to an energy sector less reliant on fossil fuels.
EU legislation to raise clean energy targets and increase energy security, is forecast to reduce oil and gas demand across the EU by 15% from 2022 levels by 2030, and coal demand by 55%*.
The projects we highlight on these pages, using ABB technology and solutions, show how France is embracing the race for the energy transition.
