International Day of Education on January 24 highlights the power of education to allow societies and economies to grow and flourish.
We’re committed to enabling learning opportunities worldwide, especially in STEM fields as these continue to play a key role in making a net-zero future a reality.
When the United Nations adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in September 2015, the international community recognized that education is essential for the success of all 17 of its goals.
Education is key to shaping a better future – which is why we’re committed to empowering the next generation through STEM initiatives, building lifelong skills, and fostering innovation that supports sustainability. Our global educational programs, part of our Sustainability Agenda aim to inspire the leaders and innovators of tomorrow, equipping them to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

Launched in 2021, our partnership with the FIA Girls On Track program – which stages educational activations at selected ABB FIA Formula E races each season – is a platform designed to encourage girls and young women into STEM careers. We recently extended our partnership and now in its 7th year, the FIA Girls on Track has reached over 4,500 young women through educational race week activities like workshops, behind-the-scenes access, and career talks led by trailblazing women.
In line with the theme of the day, AI and education, we held an inspiring LinkedIn Live session with Guillaume Delacour, our Head of People Development, on the role of AI in education and upskilling. Watch the recording and discover insights on adapting to a rapidly changing digital world and the skills needed to thrive.
Our education and upskilling programs are helping current and future professionals succeed in a world where robotics, automation and innovative technologies play an increasingly important role.
