Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) are standardized documents industry bodies validate to declare quantitative information of a product’s environmental impacts. Information contained in EPDs is based on Life Cycle Assessments (LCA), which quantify the environmental impact over the whole life cycle of a product, from resource extraction to its end-of-life. EPDs help manufacturers analyze environmental burdens and identify improvement areas, and they provide customers a way to transparently understand these impacts.
When working with EPDs, please consider the specific criteria and methodologies used in their development. They can vary significantly between EPDs from different manufacturers (in terms of the program operator followed, the verification approach, the Product Category Rules/Product Specific Rules edition as well as the Life Cycle Inventory databases used in the calculations). As a result, the data presented may not be directly comparable. ABB is committed to using the latest industry standards, databases and tools to create EPDs.
Please find below the available EPDs for ABB products and solutions.
