ABB ESG ratings | Sustainability

An environmental, social and governance (ESG) rating is a measure of a company’s exposure to long-term environmental, social and governance risks. ABB has identified six rating providers as being the most relevant to its business activities.

In 2023, our overall ESG ratings improved from 2022. We attribute this improvement to our robust governance structure and our progress toward our 2030 sustainability targets, as well as to the work we did to refine these targets further.

ISS ESG Corporate Rating, July 17, 2023: Prime status B-

On July 21, 2023 ABB received a rating of AAA (on a scale of AAA-CCC) in the MSCI ESG Ratings assessment¹.

S&P Global CSA Score 2023: 65/100

Sustainability Yearbook Member, within the top 15% of the industry.

Sustainalytics ESG Risk Rating, October 12, 2023: 15.4²

EcoVadis Gold medal, February 17, 2023: 75/100
