ABB enables a low-carbon society
We’re partnering with our customers and suppliers to reduce their emissions and achieve carbon neutrality in our own operations by 2030 with our leading technologies.
We’re driving towards carbon neutrality
- To achieve carbon neutrality in our own operations, we are continuing to transition to renewable sources of energy, improving energy efficiency across our factories and sites, and electrifying our vehicle fleet. We have currently identified areas that can reduce our CO2 emissions by at least 80 percent and as technologies evolve, we will continuously seek opportunities to do more.
- To reduce supply chain emissions, we will work with our most impactful suppliers – which account for 70 percent of our supply spend – to achieve a 50 percent reduction in their emissions by 2030.
We have cut our own CO2e emissions by 65 percent since our baseline year of 2019.
Discover our targets
As part of our ambition to enable a low-carbon society, we are partnering with customers, suppliers and other leading organizations to reduce emissions across the value chain.
To achieve carbon neutrality in our own operations, we have committed to three initiatives of the Climate Group of global companies. By 2030, we will electrify our fleet of more than 10,000 vehicles, source 100% of our electricity from renewables, and improve energy efficiency across our operations.
We are committed to set science-based emissions-reduction targets, in line with the United Nations Global Com-pact’s “Business Ambition for 1.5°C”, as well as the UN-backed “Race to Zero”.
We are leading the way to a clean energy future!
