At ABB, we know a culture of diversity, inclusion and equal opportunity makes us stronger, which is why encouraging and promoting social progress is a key element of our Sustainability Strategy 2030.
This is a view shared by FIA Girls on Track and by working together we can help provide impactful support and drive progress in terms of female diversity and equality, empowering the next generation of women to help them build a brighter and more diverse future.
As part of our partnership with FIA Girls on Track, we have created video series in which the varied and influential roles held by women throughout the paddock are showcased to inspire the next generation. The videos highlight their background and route into motorsport, who or what inspired them, challenges faced and how they overcame them and their advice to other young women looking to follow a similar path.
We are running on-site activations with collaborative robots in the race locations where FIA Girls on Track programs are taking place. The workshop consists of a robot programming class where the girls will be equipped with basic robot theory on how to program a collaborative robot. It also enables them to learn about the connection between robotics and the automotive industry.
