In Season 6, ABB entered into an exclusive partnership with automobile manufacturer, Porsche, to jointly promote e-mobility.
As part of a multi-level agreement, we became an official partner of the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E team. The partnership benefits include industry exclusivity, branding and content rights, Porsche experiences and behind-the-scenes access and collaboration on e-mobility topics.
The shared ambition to write the future of e-mobility underpins the common set of values uniting ABB and Porsche, as the collaboration reached a new level in Season 9, as ABB became Official Charging Partner to the championship.
Together, the expertise of these two technology leaders will further develop electric vehicle charging and pave the way to a zero-emission future.
In addition, the partnership creates a visible and practical link between ABB’s Formula E motorsport engagement and world-leading e-mobility solutions. It also showcases our ability to offer customized solutions to partners, while further establishing ABB as a driving force in the technological development of the World Championship.
For Season 10, Porsche’s on-track efforts will be led once again by Antonio Felix Da Costa, a two-time ABB Formula E champion, alongside Pascal Wehrlein, who will race for a fourth season with the team.
André Lotterer and David Beckmann will support the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team as test and reserve drivers for Season 10.
