Teams & Drivers

There have been multiple line-up changes among the 11 teams competing in Season 10 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, with just ERT Formula E Team (Previously NIO 333 Racing), DS Penske and ABB partners, TAG Heuer Porsche retaining the same driver pairing from last season.

Andretti are one of the founding teams of ABB Formula E. Having competed in the Championship for eight seasons, including time spent as a BMW works team, they are hoping to continue their success from last season, where Jake Dennis achieved 11 podiums, setting a new record and becoming World Champion. Norman Nato, who returned to Formula E with a full-time drive last season, now joins Andretti Formula E. The Frenchman will drive alongside reigning World Champion Jake Dennis.

ABB partner team, Porsche, recently recommitted to remaining in the championship “until they win”. Porsche’s debut in Formula E in Season 6 marked their return to single-seater racing after more than 30 years. Season 9 was TAG Heuer Porsche's best season in Formula E to date as the team wrapped up four wins and a total of seven podiums. Drivers Pascal Wehrlein and Antonio Felix da Costa will continue behind the wheel of the Porsche 99X Electric for Season 10.

McLaren head into Season 10 off the back of an impressive debut campaign last season that saw them pick up a podium finish and two Julius Baer Positions. This season will see the return of Jake Hughes to build on his rapid rookie season and he'll be joined by fellow Brit Sam Bird after parting ways with Jaguar TCS Racing. Nissan and McLaren Racing formed a multi-year technical collaboration, based around powertrain supply, after McLaren acquired the Mercedes-EQ Formula E Team in May 2022.

With an extensive heritage in motorsport, Jaguar joined the championship in Season 3. The team achieved their first race win in Rome in 2019 and finished second in the team standings in Season 7. In 2021 the British manufacturer confirmed their commitment to the series, as it plays an important part in their transition to electric mobility.

ABB Formula E is the first entry into international single-seater racing for Indian manufacturer Mahindra. Having joined the series in 2014, the team were the first to commit to the Gen3 era of the sport and utilize their competition in the championship as a fast-paced testbed to develop and refine their groundbreaking electric vehicle technology through their 'Race to Road' program.

ERT Formula E are the evolution of Team China Racing that carried Nelson Piquet Jr to claim the inaugural drivers’ championship in 2015. Heading into the landmark 10th season of Formula E and with a fresh new look and a new name, racing under the banner of ERT Formula E Team, Ticktum and Sette Camara will be looking to continue that march towards the front in Season 10.

ABT were a founding member of Formula E and competed in every race for the first seven years. Their successes include winning the very first Formula E race on 13 September 2014 in Beijing, Lucas di Grassi’s drivers’ championship title in 2017 and winning the teams’ title a year later. Last season, ABT Sportsline returned to Formula E, after a year’s absence, as a customer team with a Mahindra powertrain. They are competing in partnership with Spanish car-manufacturer CUPRA. For Season 10, Lucas di Grassi returns to the team he won the Formula E Drivers' title with back in Season 3. He will be racing alongside the returning Nico Mueller.

Maserati are the first Italian brand to compete in Formula E as they ended a 60-year hiatus from single-seater motorsport last year and entered a multi-year partnership with the Monegasque Monaco Sporting Group. This season, Maserati MSG Racing welcomes Indian driver Jehan Daruvala to the team, forming one of the youngest driver pairings ever seen in Formula E.

Nissan made their all-electric racing debut in partnership with e.dams in Season 5 of the ABB FIA Formula E championship, as the Nissan e.dams Formula E Team. For Season 10, Oliver Rowland joins the team, while Sacha Fenestraz will continue his development with the Nissan Formula E Team after a promising Season 9.

Envision Racing are one of the founding teams in the Championship and were part of the series’ inaugural race held in Beijing, since competing in all races to date. During that time, the team have scored more than 800 points, making them one of the highest points-scorers. New recruit Sébastien Buemi is also an ambassador for ABB. Dutch driver Robin Frijns makes Envision Racing return after spending Season 9 at ABT CUPRA.

In Season 9, the first year of the GEN3 era, then newly christened DS PENSKE finished fifth in the team standings. For Season 10, the team continues with both their drivers, hoping to build on previous successes.
