One can imagine a vision. Or realize one.

ABB Climate Counter
The energy transition is on everyone’s mind today, and you hear about it everywhere you go - at conferences, in assembly chambers and at your local pub. But let’s get real -- shouldn’t we act instead of just talking? After all, visions only become reality if you have the courage to make them happen.

The ABB Climate Counter allows you to easily and intuitively simulate different climate scenarios. The effects of the adaptable climate scenarios are presented instantly. The results are based on the sophisticated ABB comprehensive concept, which we have already developed in our subsidiary Busch-Jaeger in Luedenscheid, Germany.

The energy transition is an area where ABB is a technology leader for digital industries. Our goal is to make the energy transition feasible in the future and propel it forward now. Not only will our ideas, and above all, solutions work in the future – they are working already today.

Find out how much CO2 could be reduced each year if, for example, ABB’s comprehensive solution featuring OPTIMAX® were to be used in all industrial plants in Germany, and/or 45 percent of German cities would be smarter with ABB technologies.

In the smart industry sector, you can also choose whether your scenario calculation should include all of ABB’s solutions, or only selected ones (solar/photovoltaics, battery storage, combined heat and power plants, electric vehicle charging stations) with their respective savings potential.

In the smart city segment, the average ideal CO2 reduction potential has already been preset through the use of ABB solutions featuring OPTIMAX®. However, you can select or deselect the smart home, smart building, and smart transportation sectors to calculate the respective scenario. Your scenario will change accordingly.

Once you have chosen your settings, the ABB Climate Counter calculates the respective climate scenario for you. Here you can find out how many millions of tons of CO2 could be reduced with this intelligent ABB concept.

What's more, the ABB Climate Counter converts the amount of CO2 emissions reduced into more relatable examples, such as the annual average number of kilometers travelled by car or the number of forest hectares needed to bind the equivalent amount of CO2.

Are these results truly attainable today? This is a legitimate question to which we have a clear answer: yes. It’s possible to achieve right now if we do this together. After all, the future concerns every one of us. Our benchmark project Busch-Jaeger shows that we can help accelerate the energy transition with our Mission to Zero™. Thanks to a well-thought-out ABB concept that is feasible in industry, as well as the public and private sectors.
