At ABB, we actively seek partnerships with our customers and suppliers to drive sustainable development. To reduce environmental impact and preserve the Earth’s resources for future generations, we enable our customers and suppliers to become more circular and drive circularity within our own operations.

To support our customers’ circularity journeys, we have created a new product label, ABB EcoSolutions, providing full transparency on the circularity value and environmental impact of our products.

The ABB EcoSolutions™ label provides full transparency to environmental impacts across the entire product lifecycle. Products within the portfolio comply with a set of key performance indicators defined in ABB’s circularity framework and carry an external, third-party verified environmental product declaration (ISO 14025).

For our customers, the ABB EcoSolutions label is an assurance that, where relevant, the product they are buying is:

• designed to last and manufactured with the maximum amount of sustainably sourced raw materials;
• made with processes that are designed to avoid waste and maximize the use of sustainable packaging materials;
• designed to increase resource and process efficiency while in use, be upgradable and optimize the lifetime of equipment and facilities;
• supported by take-back services leading to refurbishment, re-use or recycling of products and components, and is accompanied by instructions for responsible end-of-life treatment.

Customers can now access the environmental product declaration or lifecycle assessment of all ABB products that carry the EcoSolutions label (see below) and may use them as external validation to confirm the product’s environmental impact.
